About Mary

I am one of the world's greatest multi-taskers or so they tell me. I am married to a dairy farmer and we have three sons. I am a full time Primary teacher. I run Ballindrum Farm Bed and Breakfast and Beech Lodge Self-Catering. I am an amateur actress an avid reader and of course I love to cook. This site is to share some of my favourite recipes with the world. I hope that you will try some of them and maybe come and stay with us at Ballindrum Farm B&B.

 

I grew up in Mountmellick Co. Laois on a mixed farm. Farming families rarely took holidays. We were lucky to have an Auntie Peg and an Uncle Tommy Ryan living in Ballindrum, Athy. This is where the children went on holidays for two weeks every Summer. In 1990 when Ballindrum became my home I wanted to share it with the world as a holiday destination
